Torgeir Schjerven is a Norwegian poet and novelist. He has been nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize, and has been awarded the Hartvig Kiran Memorial Prize, The Norwegian Critics prize for Literature and The Norwegian Academy Prize among others. The novel Detour to Venus has been translated into several languages.
