Ide Hintze
born in vienna in 1953. There he began studying theatre and communication-science which led to his extensive explorations into sound poetry, choral, visual, performance & internet poetries. in 1991 he founded and currently serves as director of the vienna poetry academy. he has taught in hanoi, medellín, boulder, rome, frankfurt, jakarta and vienna. he collaborated with allen ginsberg, nick cave, falco and henri chopin and has given reading and performance tours across europe, latinamerica, vietnam & indonesia.
ide is a poet, a performer, a songwriter, a mulitmedia maniac. He is author and editor of several books, cds, videos and internet-sites. among them the long poem "the golden flood" (1987), which has been translated into several languages, "i-japa" (video, 1983), "30 rufe" (cd, 1992), "lyric guerilleros" (book, 1994), "30 nanzen" (video, 1994), "ampf" (cd, 2000), "authors as revolutionaries" (book, 2002), "viva la poesia“ (book+cd, 2002), and his www-projects "ippoi" and "icons".
